About our physical infrastructure

Our servers and therefore your data is secured to the highest level. Protected by physical and logical infrastructure installations and security measures.

Secure and highly available Datacenter

Our own server infrastructure, including most of the managed servers, is located in a secure colocation datacenter in the area of Zurich, Switzerland. The datacenter fulfills all security and redundancy requirements:

  • Physical security guaranteed by structural measures (walls, doors, man-trap/goods lock)
  • Access only with touchless biometric validation
  • 24/7 video surveillance
  • Smoke and fire detection, VESDA
  • Automatic fire extinguishing system using Inergen gas
  • Reduced risks of natural or physical disasters (vibration-free surroundings, no risks of flooding, land-slides)
  • Carrier neutral, direct link to Swiss IX in house
  • Redundant Internet connectivity using multiple fiber entry points in the building
  • Redundant power with separated electrical grids (A + B)
  • Redundant UPS cluster in different fire compartments (A + B)
  • Redundant backup power using Diesel generators
  • Fully redundant air conditioning systems (2n)
  • UPS protected air handling units (AHUs)
  • Energy efficient, using electricity from renewable energy sources
  • Usage of cold-corridors (cold aisles) containments
  • TIER IV conform datacenter design and redundancy
  • Several successful PCI-DSS (Service Provider) audits

Redundant systems architecture

Smart Systems Architecture

All our physical servers and network equipments are redundantly connected to both power grids (A+B) and network (stacked network switches).

All Internet facing services (such as a web application or API) are using encrypted transmissions with TLS secured HTTP or other application protocols.

Application redundancy (and load balancing) can be achieved by using multiple servers and clustered database(s).

What type of server management do you need?

Hosting requirements for an application vary a lot. Depending on the type of the application (financial, sensitive data, etc.) or regulatory requirements (audits) the infrastructure and therefore protection of the application and its data differs a lot from a 'simple' online shop. This is why Infiniroot offers several server management and hosting possibilities:

  • Managed dedicated virtual servers in a mixed customer environment
  • Fully dedicated infrastructure running on dedicated physical server(s) (mandatory for PCI-DSS certification)
  • Fully clustered dedicated infrastructures (e.g. Kubernetes clusters), using dedicated physical or virtual servers
  • Managing remote (customer on-premise or cloud) servers
